Welcome to ToolsBoxes

Fast, lightweight web tools for calculations, conversions, and analysis. No sign-up is required, and most calculations stay in your browser.

Use a tool to check a single question, then read the method below it to understand what the answer includes. Financial calculators separate deposits, principal, interest, and projected growth where those distinctions matter. Developer tools explain the representation being changed so an encoded string or bit pattern is not mistaken for encryption, validation, or measurement accuracy.

Transparent methods

ToolsBoxes publishes formulas, assumptions, examples, and sources alongside each calculator. Financial and health outputs are educational estimates; important decisions should be checked against official documents or a qualified professional.

Choosing and checking a result

Start with the tool that matches the quantity you actually know. For example, use the mortgage calculator for principal-and-interest payments, the loan calculator for a fixed installment loan, and the percentage calculator for a one-step relative change. Similar-looking calculations can use different timing assumptions, so each result page identifies its inputs, formula, deposit or payment timing, rounding, and important exclusions.

A worked example provides a quick reasonableness check. Try that example before relying on a new scenario, then change one input at a time to see which assumptions drive the answer. For projections involving rates of return, inflation, taxes, or long time periods, compare several scenarios instead of treating one output as a forecast.

How ToolsBoxes is maintained

Calculations are exercised against known answers and boundary conditions such as zero interest, invalid ranges, leap dates, signed bit limits, and unusually small subnets. Time-sensitive methods identify their applicable year or data provider. Pages are revised when a formula, reference source, or limitation changes.

Browser-based by default

Most inputs are processed on your device and are not intentionally submitted to ToolsBoxes. The currency converter is the main exception because it requests current reference-rate data. Do not paste passwords, private keys, or confidential records into any online utility, even when processing normally stays in the browser.
