Currency Converter
About these exchange rates
Convert supported currencies using reference rates supplied by the Frankfurter API from European Central Bank data. Rates are generally published on working days and are intended for informational conversion.
Formula and method
Converted amount = source amount × published rate. The 30-day chart shows historical reference rates for the selected pair.
Worked example
Bank, card, cash, and transfer providers typically add spreads or fees, so a real transaction may differ from the reference result.
How to interpret the result
The result is a reference-rate conversion, useful for estimating relative value and checking a quoted rate. It is not an executable offer. Banks, cards, cash desks, and transfer services may add a spread, fixed charge, weekend adjustment, or rounding rule, so compare the provider's final amount rather than the midpoint rate alone.
Important limitations
- Rates are not suitable for trading or contractual settlement.
- Same-currency conversions always use a rate of 1.
Common questions
Why is today's rate unavailable?
Reference rates are generally updated on working days rather than continuously. Weekends and holidays may show the latest previously published rate.
Why does my card statement show another amount?
Card networks and issuers can use a different timestamp and add foreign-transaction fees or conversion spreads. The settlement date can also differ from the purchase date.
